Our Services

Dave's Building Services provides home building, renovations, decking, and related construction work in Wellington. All work complies with the NZ Building Code and Building Act 2004.

Quotes & Pricing

• Quotes are valid for 30 days

• Quotes are based on the information provided — if things change, pricing may change

• We'll discuss any price changes before proceeding

• Payment is due as invoiced (typically 50% deposit, 50% on completion)

Project Changes

If you want to change the scope of work during the project, we'll discuss the cost impact and get written agreement before making changes.

Building Consent & Council

• We'll advise on what council consents are needed

• Client is responsible for council consent fees unless otherwise agreed

• Council inspection delays are not our responsibility

Warranty

All work comes with a 12-month warranty from completion for workmanship defects. Normal wear and tear, and damage from misuse, are not covered.

Health & Safety

• You're responsible for site safety and access

• We follow Health & Safety at Work Act 2015 requirements

• Please let us know about any hazards on site

Cancellation

If you cancel after work has started, you're liable for work completed to date plus reasonable costs.

Liability

Dave's Building Services is not liable for indirect or consequential damages. Our liability is limited to the value of the contract.

Disputes

Any disputes will be resolved through negotiation first, then mediation if needed. NZ law applies.
